ABOUT ME
My name is Karen, and I'm a certified birth doula with Doulas of North America. I'm also on staff at the Terra Association, supporting teen
mothers; and was voted doula of the year for 2006. I am a member of
DONA International, the Canadian Doula Association, and the Doula
Association of Edmonton. I have over twenty years of experience
supporting women in the birthing community. I practice in all the
Edmonton and area hospitals, and will do home births. I have
experience with every type of birth - natural birth, water birth,
VBAC birth, epidural birth, caesarean section birth, and birth
complications.
Birthing is my joy and passion, and would not choose to do anything
else. I am very committed to my clients, and always so honoured
to have the privilege of attending a birth. I take a limited amount
of clients per month, and therefore book up very quickly!
I'm happily married with five beautiful children, three sons and
two daughters; ages 21, 20, 19, 13 & 12.
